The Albany Museum of Art hosts Doll & Me Tea Party on Saturday, February 28

The Saturday Tea Party will be a magical morning of imagination, creativity, and treats

ALBANY, Ga. – [For Release January 23, 2026 – Albany, GA] ─ Having tea with a best friend while making new friends will be at the heart of the social event of the season for kids on Saturday, Feb 28, at the Doll & Me Tea Party at the Albany Museum of Art.

“It will be a magical morning of imagination, creativity, and delightful treats specially designed for young kids and their favorite dolls,” AMA Director of Education and Public Programming Annie Van Oteghem said.

The event is from 11 am to 1 pm. Participants will enjoy tea cakes, fresh fruit, and other light snacks while sipping on warm tea. “It will be a proper tea party in a beautiful setting,” Van Oteghem said.

Girls and boys are encouraged—but not required—to “dress to impress” by wearing their favorite party outfits.

“They can dress up their dolls for the event, too,” Van Oteghem said. “It will be a wonderful opportunity for them to spend time and enjoy the company of friends and make new friends in a happy, safe environment.”

In addition to creating fond memories, participants will create keepsakes to take home.

“We will have fun crafting beautiful accessories for the kids and their dolls that they can play with and enjoy long after the tea party is over,” Van Oteghem said. “Years from now, they will be treasured reminders of this special day.”

The cost for the event is $35 ($30 for AMA donors) per child. One adult can accompany a girl at no additional cost. Registration for any additional adults accompanying a child is $20 each.

RSVPs are already being accepted. The registration link can be found at https://www.albanymuseum.com/event/tea-party-feb-2026/
