Teens arrested in connection to bomb threats at 2 Cook Co. schools

ADEL, Ga. – Two teens have been arrested for allegedly threatening two schools in unrelated incidents according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

The first threat happened Monday when an online image was shared which threatened Cook County High School. Students were moved to the stadium while the school was checked.

A 14-year-old, female Lanier county student is currently being held at the Regional Youth Detention Center in connection to the threat.

Another unrelated threat towards Cook Middle School came Wednesday. A teacher reported one of her student’s snapchat post stating he was going to quote “Going to blow up the school.”

The 13-year-old was then taken into custody.

Both students has been charged with terroristic threats and acts, dissemination of information relating to a terroristic threat, and disruption of a public school.
