Teen shot, investigation ongoing in Cordele
CORDELE, Ga. – On Saturday February 14th just after 8:00 p.m., officers with the Cordele Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 600 block of West 11th Avenue in Cordele.
Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old male juvenile who had sustained a single gunshot wound. Firefighters with the Cordele Fire Department and Crisp County EMS arrived, and the victim was transported to Crisp Regional Hospital. The victim was later taken to another area hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The Criminal Investigations Division responded and began processing the scene. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation also responded to assist with the investigation into this shooting.
At this time, no additional information will be released as the investigation remains active.
