Suspect wanted in overnight fatal shooting in Americus

AMERICUS, Ga. – On April 16 at approximately 12:50 AM officers of the Americus Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Glory Court to a reported shooting.

On arrival officers located one victim in the residence with apparent gunshot wounds and rendered emergency fist aid until EMS personnel arrived.

The victim, Amon Kevone Harvey, age 21, of Americus was transported to Phoebe Sumter Regional Medical Center and then flown to a trauma center in Macon where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect has been identified as Kentravious Lemond Holmes, age 20, of Americus.

He is currently wanted for Felony Murder and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.
