Suspect wanted for Sylvester murder & aggravated assault turns himself in
Brown turned himself into authorities on June 13th and is currently being held at the Dougherty County Jail.
SYLVESTER, Ga. – On June 12th, the GBI secured murder and aggravated assault warrants for 19-year-old Keymon Brown of Sylvester, in connection to a shooting incident on June 10th.
Sylvester Police officers responded to 101 South Jefferson Street and found two men with gunshot wounds. Both men were taken to Phoebe Hospital in Worth county. One of the men, identified as 29-year-old David Stephens, died. An autopsy will be performed on Stephens at the GBI Crime Lab in Macon. The other man was taken later to Phoebe-Putney Hospital in Albany where he is currently being treated for his injuries.
Brown turned himself into authorities on June 13th and is currently being held at the Dougherty County Jail.
