Suspect wanted after stabbing death in Tifton

TIFTON, Ga. – Tifton Police Department (TPD) is currently investigating the death of Darinel Noriega, 31, of Tifton.

On October 15, 2025 at 05:55 a.m., Tifton Police officers were called to the 1000 block of Ferry Lake Rd for a report of a person bleeding. When officers arrived, they discovered Noriega with multiple stab wounds.

Noriega was taken to Tift Regional Medical Center (TRMC) where he succumbed to his injuries.

Through investigation, Tifton detectives identified Pablo Moreno as prime suspect in the stabbing death of Noriega. Detectives are led to believe Noriega’s death may be attributed to a domestic dispute.

Moreno is charged with:
 Felony Murder
 Aggravated Assault
 Possession of a Knife during the Commission of a Crime
 Burglary – 1st degree
 Five (5) counts of Cruelty to Children – 3rd degree

The suspect is currently at large, and detectives have reason to believe Moreno is currently in the Florida area.
