Suspect in custody after armed standoff ends in East Albany
EAST ALBANY, Ga. – At approximately 6:40 p.m., a suspect has been taken into custody Tuesday, November 18 after a standoff with law enforcement officials.
According to Sheriff Terron K. Hayes, at approximately 3:53 p.m. the armed male suspect, later identified as 45-year-old Robert Clark, barricaded himself inside a residence in 1400 block of Roosevelt Avenue.
Clark had multiple active arrest warrants and was wanted in connection to a domestic situation.
Officers with Albany Police Department (APD) with the assistance of deputies with the Dougherty County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) and the Albany-Dougherty S.W.A.T. team responded to the scene.
