Suspect arrested for armed robbery and burglary at Walgreens and Happy Liquors
ALBANY, Ga. – On February 10, 2025, officers responded to Walgreens (2414 Sylvester Rd) in reference to an Armed Robbery around 8:00 P.M. Investigators were able to locate a possible witness to the incident who stated that a black male ran away to a nearby location near East Broad Ave and Leonard St.
Raymond Aham-Kharkiv Young (44) was identified as a suspect after looking at surveillance footage. Young was also a suspect in several other burglaries in the area, including Happy Liquors (110 Cordele Rd) days before the incident.
Raymond Young already had several warrants from a previous burglary incident.
Officers were able to locate Young in the 2400 block of Leonard Ave, where he confessed to the Armed Robbery at Walgreens and Happy Liquors. He was charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of Firearm in Commission of a Crime, Probation Violation, and Financial Transaction Card Fraud (8 counts).
