Sunbelt Ag Field Day Held
Farmers Learn Ways to Increase Crop Production
MOULTRIE, GA – To Moultrie… Where the Sunbelt Ag Field Day got underway this morning… Rescheduled from last month because of the relatively wet July.
Farmers from across South Georgia gathered at the Darrell Williams Research Farm to learn ways to improve their yields while increasing crop sustainability.
Chip Blalock, Executive Director of the Sunbelt Ag Expo, said he is pleased with the crowd turnout.
“We’re glad to be rolling. The famers are coming in. Seeing the cotton, peanuts, corn, Grain sorghum, and Bermuda Grass. Learning the latest and greatest in the seed varieties, crop protection, soil fertility, irrigation, and precision ag throughout the research plots,” said Blalock.
Blalock announced this year’s Sunbelt Ag Expo dates as October 18th, 19th, and 20th at Spence Field.
Some new things include the first electric tractors, and the use of drones in the field.
