Stay in the Loop: Visit Albany launches new Text Club to keep community connected

January 19, 2026
Matthew Crumley,

ALBANY, Ga. – Visit Albany has introduced a new way for residents and visitors to stay in the loop about what’s happening around town. The organization recently launched the Visit Albany Text Club, a free, opt-in service that delivers weekly updates on local events, attractions, and important announcements.

Designed with simplicity in mind, the Text Club typically sends just one message per week, making it easy for subscribers to stay informed without being overwhelmed by notifications. The service is another tool to help keep the community engaged and informed about everything the city has to offer.

Signing up is quick and free. To join, text the word JOIN to 833-317-5783 or visit VisitAlbanyGA.com for more information. Message and data rates may apply.

Visit Albany also encourages local businesses, organizations, and event planners to submit their events directly to the Visit Albany website to help keep the community calendar accurate and up to date.
