Stabbing in the 2000 block of W. Oglethorpe Blvd
ALBANY, Ga. – At approximately 11:42 p.m. Saturday, Albany law enforcement responded to a distress call in the 2000 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard concerning a violent incident.
25-year-old Nyasha Prescott was discovered with a stab wound on her left shoulder, and officers made contact with 24-year-old Temaya Thornton, whose clothing had been exposed to bleach.
Upon investigation, it was unveiled that 21-year-old Uniquea Williams, during a heated verbal dispute, had bleached Thornton’s clothing and had also stabbed Prescott, who is Thornton’s sister, in the shoulder. Williams’ actions were driven by her suspicions of Thornton being unfaithful. Fortunately, Prescott’s injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.
Uniquea Williams now faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault, criminal damage to property in the second degree, and criminal trespass.
She has been transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
