Stabbing in the 100 block of Hobson Street

ALBANY, Ga. – Shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday, Albany law enforcement officers received a call regarding a stabbing incident in the 100 block of Hobson Street.

61-year-old Eugene Bailey was found at the scene with a stab wound on his left side. He was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for medical treatment, and his injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.

According to Bailey, the altercation leading to the stabbing occurred during a verbal dispute with 62-year-old Timothy Favors, over a romantic relationship.

Timothy Favors was apprehended by the authorities and taken into custody. He has been charged with aggravated assault and was transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
