Spring Creek Charter Academy evacuated after bomb threat emailed to school

BAINBRIDGE, Ga. – According to a statement from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, Spring Creek Charter Academy was evacuated Thursday morning after a bomb threat was emailed to the school.

Students evacuated to a nearby church, according to a Bainbridge Public Safety spokesperson. All students were picked up by 10:30 a.m., according to the superintendent.

Decatur County Fire and Rescue is assisting the sheriff’s office on the scene at the school.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
