Speed limit changes announced by Crisp Co. Sheriff’s Office

CORDELE, Ga. – The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has announced the following speed limit changes:

  • Highway 280 near Veterans Memorial State Park and Cannon Road: The speed limit has been reduced from 55 mph to 45 mph in this area, continuing to the county line.
  • Crisp County from Sumter County: The speed limit also reduces to 45 mph when entering Crisp County from Sumter County. 

Sheriff Billy Hancock urges drivers to “please slow down inside the 45 mph zone.”
