SOWEGA Rising hosts Soil and Soul Festival at Charles M. Sherrod Civil Rights Park this Saturday
ALBANY, Ga. – A celebration of health, healing, and togetherness is coming to Albany. The Soil and Soul Festival takes place Saturday, October 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Charles M. Sherrod Civil Rights Park, at South Jackson Street, promising a day filled with inspiration, connection, and fun for all ages.
Hosted by SOWEGA Rising, this free community event is designed to bring people together around the themes of wellness, culture, and community. Visitors can browse local vendors, enjoy food trucks, and take part in outdoor games, holistic health activities, and even electric vehicle demonstrations.
The festival will also feature unique wellness experiences, including a lively Trap Zumba session and a relaxing sound bath around 1 p.m., both aimed at promoting peace and overall well-being.
Organizers encourage residents to bring family and friends and spend the day exploring new ways to care for their mind, body, and spirit, all while celebrating the strength and unity of the Albany community.
