Southwell to sponsor “Destress to Progress” free event to offer practical stress management tools at Anthony G. Bateman Youth Center in Tifton
TIFTON, Ga. – For those feeling stressed or overwhelmed after the holidays, a free community event in Tifton aims to help residents reset and refocus. Southwell is sponsoring “Destress to Progress” on Tuesday, December 30, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Anthony G. Bateman Youth Center.
The hour-long session will be led by Dr. Tonja Tift, Youth Center Program Director, and focuses on mental well-being and how stress can impact daily life, productivity, and overall health. Participants will learn about the connection between stress and progress, along with practical strategies to better manage everyday pressures.
Topics will include stress relief techniques, building healthy habits, and simple, realistic ways to reduce stress at home, work, or school. Organizers say the goal is for attendees to leave with tools they can immediately apply in their daily routines.
The event is free and open to the public and will be held at the Anthony G. Bateman Youth Center, located at 511 17th Street West in Tifton.
