South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: September 4, 2025
Hotter and more humid to end the week heading into the weekend. Heat indices reach the upper 90s but should stay under 100. A stray shower or t’storm is possible late Saturday. Isolated chance of showers or t’storms Sunday into Tuesday. Another “cool” front ushers in less humid air mass for mid-late next week.
In the tropics, a tropical wave (recently designated Invest 91-L) and associated broad area of low pressure has a high chance of becoming a tropical depression over the next 7 days as it approaches the Leeward Islands. This system is tracking farther southward compared to recent storms Erin and Fernand. Interests in the eastern Caribbean Sea should monitor its progress. The next named storm is Gabrielle. Stay tuned for updates.
