More of us fall into the upper 50s to near 60 Thursday morning with comfortable humidity & delightful conditions. Afternoons heat up to near 90. Rain-free streak holds with no appreciable rainfall in sight.

In the tropics, today is the climatological peak of the Atlantic hurricane season. The tropics remain relatively quiet, but there is now a new area to watch for some slow development over the weekend into early next week as a tropical wave moves to the WNW at about 15 mph over the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.
