South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: October 8, 2025
Morning showers turns into a breezy & mostly cloudy Thursday afternoon as cold frontal passage occurs. That knocks down the temperatures and humidity levels for a fabulous finish to work week. Cool breeze blows as gusts could approach 30 mph Thursday PM through Friday. Wonderful weekend with plenty of sunshine that sticks around into next week. Cooler crisp mornings in mid-upper 50s. Warmer afternoons in the low-mid 80s. Perfect fall-like weather for the 2025 Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie!
Tropical Storm conditions possible on northern Leeward Islands when Jerry passes nearby Thursday and Thursday night. Jerry will strengthen to a Hurricane and bend away from Bermuda. A trough of low pressure over the Bay of Campeche has a low chance of some slow development, but its opportunity for development will be ending soon. A frontal boundary and upper trough will spawn a Nor’easter that slams the U.S. East Coast with heavy rains, high winds, beach erosion, rip currents, high surfs, dangerous marine conditions this weekend. There is an outside chance it may acquire sub-tropical characteristics, but is not being monitored by NHC right now.
