South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: November 12, 2025

AURORA ALERT: Tuesday night’s Geomagnetic Storm was classified G4 (Severe). It’s forecasted to weaken to G2 (Moderate) by Thursday morning. Planetary-K Index values have also decreased throughout the day. This decreases the chances of seeing the Aurora Borealis in SWGA. The Northern Lights may still be visible after dark tonight near the northern horizon over northern half of the state with a night mode camera.

WARMING TREND: Areas of patchy fog next two mornings followed by mainly sunny skies. Warming up above average this weekend into much of next week as afternoons approach 80s and mornings turn milder in the 50s.

RAIN-FREE: No rain is expected anytime soon which means drought conditions will worsen.
