South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: June 30, 2025
Wetter with cooler than average daytime highs for first half of the holiday week. Hotter and drier with mainly isolated chances for showers or storms for Fourth of July weekend.
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Barry was briefly born over the SW Bay of Campeche over the weekend. It has made landfall and since dissipated over eastern Mexico. NHC is watching for a low chance of possible gradual sub-tropical or tropical development associated with an area of low pressure that may develop from a weakening frontal boundary off the SE U.S., over Florida, or over the eastern Gulf. Main impact is heavy rainfall potential especially near and offshore the Gulf waters.
