South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: July 2, 2025

Drier & hotter for the Fourth of July. More seasonable heat this weekend. Hotter again as chances of isolated to widely scattered t-storms return early next week.

In the tropics, near equal chances of tropical development, a weak system either Tropical Depression or Tropical Storm that meanders near or just offshore before it drifts inland or northeast out to sea. Tropical moisture will keep rain chances elevated with heavy rainfall possible for parts of northern, much of central and southern FL Peninsula, particularly the west-central coast. It will have minimal impacts to Gulf coast beaches besides increased risk of rip currents. It’s nothing to become overly concerned about or cancel those holiday plans, but something to watch.
