South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: July 1, 2025
Last wet day with widely scattered showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday. Hotter and drier for Fourth of July holiday weekend. Isolated shower and t-storm chances return early next week but staying hot.
In the tropics, an area of low pressure could develop from a weakening front by the weekend over the Atlantic waters off SE U.S., over Florida, or over the northeastern Gulf. Some gradual tropical or subtropical development could occur thereafter as the low drifts and moves little. Regardless of development, heavy rainfall is possible across portions of the southeast U.S., particularly across the west-central Florida coast.
