South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: February 20, 2026
Albany, GA official set a new record high temperature yesterday of 83° surpassing the old record of 82° set in 2018 and a new record warm low this morning of 68° that breaks old record of 64° set in 1971. Evening thunderstorms followed by overnight showers and areas of patchy fog developing. Near record warmth again on Saturday. There’s also a Marginal Risk of Severe Storms including damaging wind gusts and possibly a brief, isolated tornado. Blustery and chillier on Sunday with gusty northwesterly winds 15 to 25 mph with higher wind gusts possible. Consecutive freezes possible Monday-Wednesday. Tuesday has best potential of a hard freeze with lows in low to mid 20s. Temperatures rebound with rain chances returning late next week.
