South Georgia Weather Authority Forecast: August 14, 2025

Heat and humidity builds through the weekend. Isolated to widely scattered showers and storms are possible. Heat Index “feels like” climbs to 100°-105°+ possibly 105°-107° near Heat Advisory levels for a few areas. Drier with temperatures near to slightly above average next week.

In the tropics, A broad area of low pressure in SW Gulf / Bay of Campeche has a Medium chance of becoming a Tropical Depression before moving inland over NE Mexico or S TX by Friday evening. Tropical Storm Erin has strengthened while moving westward, forecast to become a Hurricane by tomorrow. Large swells will produce dangerous high surfs and rip current risk along the U.S. Eastern Seaboard for much of next week.
