South Ga. counties cleanup after Monday’s severe weather

GRADY Co., Ga. – Throughout Monday morning, Meteorologist Matthew Crumley was tracking severe weather, including tornadoes and severe thunderstorms.

First responders and homeowners continue to clean up and assess the damage in Grady county after a tornado touched down.

Grady County Sheriff’s Office reported extensive damage to homes and trees were snapped on Akridge Road, New Hope Road, and Sammy Bulloch Road.

Authorities say no one was home during the tornado, and no injuries were reported.

Other damage was reported in Colquitt and Thomas counties from other possible tornadoes.

First responders and homeowners continue to clean up and assess the damage.
