Smithville double homicide investigation of mother and daughter

SMITHVILLE, Ga. – At the request of the Smithville Police Department, Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) agents are currently investigating the deaths of 41-year-old Jessica Lynn Hatcher Thompson and her daughter, 17-year-old Julianna Denise Thompson.

Reports indicate that on Thursday, March 7th, the Smithville Police Department responded to a 911 call from an apartment in the 100 block of Wells Street in Smithville. Upon arrival, officers discovered Jessica Thompson and Julianna Thompson dead inside the apartment.
