AMERICUS, Ga. – Sisters in Service of Southwest Georgia and our community partners are advocates for the upcoming Hens & Haircuts Prostate Awareness Event. In collaboration with Mr. Darrell Sabbs, Phoebe Health & Sponsors, we are engaging the Women Voices on the importance of PSA Health screening. We will conduct a Post-Screening Give-A-Way which is a 50-inch Flat Screen TV.
Please announce at your churches, organization meetings, post on social media, on your radio shows “Her Voice, His Health.” Our MEN are valuable and worth saving!
Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men worldwide. It is estimated that over 300,000 new cases will be diagnosed in the United States this year.
Early detection is crucial, as prostate cancer has a high survival rate when caught in its early stages.
Risk factors include age, family history, and race.
We encourage all men in SW Georgia over the age of 40 to attend the upcoming Hens and Haircuts/Prostate Screening Event on Saturday, September 27 in Americus.
Participants will get free haircuts, a hen and the aforementioned drawing to win a 50-inch flat screen TV and fishing equipment. Spread the word!
