Shooting leaves 5-year-old dead, 2 injured in Americus

AMERICUS, Ga. – The GBI is investigating a shooting in Americus that left a 5-year-old girl dead and two others injured.

On Saturday night, Americus Police responded to a shots-fired call on Eastview Circle and found multiple victims.

5-year-old Peyton Roberts died after being taken to Phoebe Sumter hospital.

A 19-year-old male is in critical condition, and a third victim has non-life-threatening injuries.
