Shooting incident in the 100 block of Hunter Street

ALBANY, Ga. – On July 29, 2025 officers responded to the 100 block of Bridges Ln in reference to a shooting that occurred in the 100 block of Hunter St. The victim, stated he attempted to contact his child’s mother, multiple times with no response. He advised that he went to the residence to check on her and, upon entering, observed Hadji Dowdell (25) at the residence. An argument ensued between the two men, during which Dowdell allegedly shot the victim in the leg.

Units responded to 100 block of Hunter St. to attempt contact with Dowdell, but were unsuccessful. The victim’s injury appeared to be a graze wound; EMS responded, but Hall refused transport to the hospital. Updates will be provided once new information becomes available for release.
