Sherwood Missions offers Life Skills Classes at Hope Center in January
ALBANY, Ga. – If learning a new skill is part of your goals for the new year, Sherwood Missions’ Hope Center is offering a series of Life Skills Classes beginning this January for teenagers, families, and adults seeking job experience.
For teenagers and families, two hands-on classes are scheduled for Saturday, January 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hope Center. The Basic Sewing Class introduces students to foundational sewing skills. Registration is available online here.
Also on January 17, the Basic Automotive Class teaches practical vehicle maintenance skills, including inspections and changing fluids and filters. Registration is available online here.
Adults looking to gain workforce experience can take part in two job-focused courses. The General Automotive Lube Technician Class begins with orientation on January 15, followed by classes running January 20 through January 29, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The course prepares students to work as entry-level automotive lube technicians. Registration is available online here.
The Basic Hardwood Flooring Installation Class also begins with orientation on January 15, with classes scheduled January 20 through January 23, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. This hands-on course covers measuring, cutting, and installing hardwood flooring. Registration is available online here.
