Second suspect identified in Ledo Road Walmart shots fired incident

LEESBURG, Ga. – Update 02/05/2026 – The second suspect has been identified as Daiveyon Jahquell Hoskins, the brother of Anthony Devonte Hoskins. Investigators have obtained arrest warrants for Daiveyon Jahquell Hoskins for Aggravated Assault, Criminal Damage to Property 2nd Degree, and Terroristic Threats and Acts. Anthony Devonte Hoskins has also received an additional charge of obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

We encourage Daiveyon Jahquell Hoskins to immediately turn him self in at the Lee County Jail located at 119 Pinewood Road Leesburg, GA.

On February 1, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 2700 block of Ledo Road in reference to reports of shots being fired in the area.

During the initial investigation, deputies recovered multiple spent shell casings from the roadway and surrounding area. Investigators later learned that a vehicle traveling east on Ledo Road had been shot at while leaving the area of Walmart. The victim’s vehicle sustained multiple gunshot strikes; fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Through investigative efforts, Criminal Investigations Division (CID) investigators determined that a 2020 Dodge Charger accelerated toward the victim’s vehicle and shots were fired into it. As a result of the investigation, Anthony Devonte Hoskins has been arrested and charged with:

• Aggravated Assault

• Criminal Damage to Property – 2nd Degree

• Terroristic Threats and Acts

This investigation remains active. Investigators have obtained footage of an additional suspect who is seen in the attached photographs wearing a red hoodie. Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying this individual.

Let us be clear: this sort of violent and criminal behavior will not be tolerated in Lee County. Anyone foolish enough to participate in a criminal shooting incident should expect to be swiftly arrested by our deputies and investigators or endlessly hunted until they are brought to justice. Either way, a lengthy stay in the Pink Palace is definitely in their future.
