“The Houston County School District has been closely monitoring the weather projections for Friday, January 10, and we have attended the Houston County Emergency Management Agency‘s (HEMA) weather briefings to hear the latest predictions. Based on updates from the National Weather Service (as of midday today), we will have school tomorrow. We will continue to communicate with HEMA and monitor U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) updates overnight. We encourage you to follow the Houston County Emergency Management Agency for all severe weather updates. To our high school dual-enrollment students: Please be sure to check with your college and/or instructor to see if there are any changes to your dual-enrollment class schedule.”

“Please be advised that Crisp County School System CCSS will continue to closely monitor the weather situation for our area. At this time, and based on the latest weather briefing, the conditions are still uncertain. For this reason, we are continuing to monitor the safety of being on roadways in our area. At this time school will resume as normal. If conditions worsen we will send an update.
