Rhythm & Ribs Festival attracts residents and visitors to Fulwood Park in Tifton

TIFTON, Ga. – Tifton’s Rhythm & Ribs Festival brought out a big crowd this weekend.

De’Andra Jacobs was there, and has more on the festival.

Fulwood Park transforms into a sizzling symphony of smoky sensations as the Rhythm and Ribs festival fires up.

This weekend, Tifton was the place to be as the Rhythm & Ribs Festival brought together locals and visitors for an unforgettable celebration of music, mouthwatering food, and vibrant community spirit.

“My sister has gone to ABAC for four years and invited us every year, and we finally decided to come out and it’s great. My mom got some type of fish, that was pretty good. And, then, we tried pork. We tried ribs. I just finished some chili cheese fries that were pretty good. We have been here for a few hours, but we definitely want to try more before we leave,” said Layla Stubbs, Rhythm & Ribs Festival, attendee.

It was a true feast for the senses. The festival wasn’t just about food and music, though. Local vendors offered a variety of unique products, allowing attendees to shop while they indulged in the festivities.

“So, this is our business. It is elegant edge, permanent jewelry and kind of more. We do custom claspless jewelry. You choose whether you would like a necklace, anklet or bracelet, and then you choose your chain from what we have. We customize it to your neck, your wrist or your ankle and then we weld it with the micro welder so it doesn’t come off. They don’t tarnish anything like that, so you can go swimming and take baths, it doesn’t really affect it at all,” said melissa Curry, Elegant Edge, Rhythm & Ribs local vendor.

The Rhythm & Ribs Festival also attracted big names in the culinary world, including celebrity chef and best-selling author Pat Neely, known as the “BBG King”. Neely’s cooking demonstration drew a crowd eager to try his recipe for BBQ spaghetti, while he praised Tifton’s Perfect Start to BBQ season.

“I was invited here and I’ve done a cooking demonstration where I show people Pat Neely’s Barbecue Spaghetti. This is absolutely amazing. Tifton is an incredible, beautiful city. Y’all know how to kick off the barbecue season. Y’all are doing it right. First of all, it is early march. The weather is amazing. But, what I’m really impressed with is how clean the park is. And, it’s bigger than I really expected with all of the vendors. I’ve actually tasted some of the barbecue and it’s amazing. So, this is how you kick off the barbecue season. And, if you want to see all of the amazing things that I’m doing, just go to @patneelybbqking on all social platforms. I’ve got cool videos there, a lot of them are my great recipes, and hopefully I’ll get a chance to come back soon,” said Pat Neely, Celebrity Chef, Restauranter.

The Professional Grand Champions were ‘the Look and the Cook BBQ,’ while the Backyard Grand Champions were ‘the Meat Show.’

Congratulations to everyone.
