Republican Candidate of Ga. Congressional District 2 Race speaks on upcoming election

CAMILLA, Ga. – Congressman Sanford Bishop’s opponent, Dr. Wayne Johnson, also made a visit to South Georgia to speak about the upcoming election.

CBS 44 had an interview with him earlier today…

“Well, that’s a great question. So, I grew up in Macon, Georgia. You know, I’m a lifelong Georgian. I was in the financial services world for a long time with the credit card business. I went back and got a doctorate in higher education finance. I wound up being put in charge of all the federal student loans. That’s what’s propelled me to actually run for office, because there’s just so much stupid going on in Washington. And so one of the reasons I want to be in Congress is to stop the stupid in Washington. And, I’m a father, a grandfather, a former Army officer, I have created businesses throughout Middle and Southwest Georgia. I’ve created thousands of jobs. So, I’m somebody that gets things done and I’m somebody that really, for lack of a better word, truly cares and gives a damn about what we can do to make things better here,” said Dr. Wayne Johnson (R), Ga. Congressional District 2 Race.

“Well, it’s a time for a change. I’ve got policies that are really in tune with what people are interested in. I’ve got a a program for somebody to get into a brand new three bedroom, two bath house, for less than a thousand a month, with no down payment, no credit check. I’ve got a plan for people to get into a new car. For less than $200 a month. Again with no down payment, no credit checks. People need wills in order to get to the job, get to the grocery store, get to, health care, to take their kids to good schools. They need a good place to live. And, you know, this whole election is about affordability. And, in order to improve affordability of whether it be housing, cars, groceries, health care, even insurance, there’s got to be a change. Sanford’s done noble work for 32 years, but a change would be good. And, it’s also about bringing an intense focus and an intense amount of energy. And that’s what I’m committed to doing,” said Dr. Johnson.

“Today early voting is going on. Go vote. Go vote, go vote. And also I want to shout out to all the women. The women are actually voting, at a rate of about 25% higher than the men are. Right now. So, my message to the women is keep going. But my message to the men is get out and vote. It really matters. Every vote matters. And, I look forward to seeing what Tuesday will hold. Also, I don’t know if you’re aware, but it was just announced that President Trump will be coming to the second district on Sunday. And, that’s the reason he’s going,” said Dr. Johnson.
