PLIGHT, Inc. hosts annual MLK Day Breakfast in Tifton
TIFTON, Ga. – PLIGHT, Inc., brings the Tifton community together to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Community members from all over Tifton gathered at the Tifton Recreation Department to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s impact on the Civil Rights Movement and his influence on American history.
“We’ve been doing this for more than 25 years. We are sponsored also by organizations in the community. And, so, today, it is about protection, freedom, justice, democracy, and non-violence,” said Clara Gray, PLIGHT, Inc. member.
Attendees at the event were welcomed with a complimentary breakfast, setting the tone for a morning filled with inspirational unity.
The program featured heartfelt singing, meaningful fellowship, and a compelling motivational message from guest speaker Tremayne J. Graydon, a Christ-focused licensed professional counselor with more than 15 years of experience.
PLIGHT, Inc. upholds the beloved tradition of hosting the annual breakfast, uniting the community to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s enduring legacy – a source of inspiration and a catalyst for change that continues to resonate today.
“For American history, he fought, fought for justice for all people. He fought for freedom for all people. And, he wanted us to have unity in our country,” said Gray.
