Phoebe to host annual Women’s Health Fair themed “Let’s Get Cancer Off Our Chest” focused on early detection & cancer prevention
ALBANY, Ga. – Phoebe Putney Health System (PPHS) will host its annual Women’s Health Fair on Saturday, October 25, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Albany State University’s West Campus Gym at 2400 Gillionville Road.
This year’s theme, “Let’s Get Cancer Off Our Chest,” emphasizes the importance of early detection and cancer prevention. The event will focus on raising awareness for breast cancer and lung cancer, offering women valuable information and access to key health resources.
Attendees can learn when to schedule mammograms and lung screenings, meet with genetic counselors, and connect with local healthcare providers. The Dougherty County Health Department will also be on-site providing clinical breast exams throughout the morning.
Phoebe officials say early detection saves lives, and the Women’s Health Fair is designed to help women take proactive steps toward protecting their health.
