Part 3: a conversation with fitness instructor Aisha Hardeman

CORDELE, Ga. — It being Black History Month, are there any black figures in your life, men or women, that have inspired you and have motivated you to get to the point where you are today?

“Well, of course, I’m always grateful for our past people that paved the way like Martin Luther King Jr. But, I have my own people that I grew up around, and that would be my parents. So, I got to give credit to my parents, my dad, my mom, and I’ve seen my parents work hard and they are my role models and my granddad. These are the people that I saw growing up around that inspired me to be what I am today. And, just so I just found a passion for working out along the way,” said Aisha Hardeman, owner, Fitness By Isha.

If there was a message that you could spread out to all African American little boys and little girls all around the world. What is the number one thing that comes to your mind to tell them as a message?

“Put God first. If you let him guide you, you cannot go wrong. Whatever you want to be, you can be it, but you have to put the work behind it as well,” said Hardeman.
