Officer-involved shooting in Quitman

QUITMAN, Ga. – On Friday afternoon law enforcement officials reported an officer-involved shooting in Quitman.

The shooting incident occurred around South Lee Street, Gordon Street, and Quincey Street.

The shooting occurred at one location and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

Any injuries or fatalities are currently unknown at this time.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is currently investigating.
