NWS confirms EF-1 tornado touched down Thursday in Crisp Co.
CORDELE, Ga – The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down for about 10 minutes shortly after 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
The tornado was estimated to have had maximum winds of 90 miles per hour, and according to the survey, it touched down near Georgia 300 and highway 90.
At Old Penia Road, east of Penia Road, several trees were downed blocking the roadway.
The tornado continued northeast, blowing down wooden power poles and trees along cemetery road before lifting.
