Murder investigation arrests made in Albany
ALBANY, Ga. – On Saturday, August 5th, Albany police responded to the Five Points Inn at 2230 East Oglethorpe Boulevard after receiving information that a murder suspect, 23-year-old Michael Jerome Jackson, was at this location.
Jackson was apprehended after providing a false name. He was taken into custody in connection to the shooting death of 18-year-old Claudarius Caesar, who was found deceased from a single gunshot wound earlier this year on March 18th.
Jackson faces charges of murder and has additional warrants for his arrest for criminal damage to property in the second degree and probation violation.
Several other individuals were also taken into custody.
50-year-old Mowana Michelle Porter, 35-year-old Justin Jamaal King, and 20-year-old Brianna Ashanti Dawson were charged with hindering apprehension or punishment of criminal and placed in the Dougherty County Jail. King also has a probation violation warrant.
