Multi-county crime spree begins in Coffee County, ends with home invasion in Mitchell County

DOUGLAS, Ga. – On the morning of December 7 2025 a series of incidents began within the City of Douglas and continued across multiple jurisdictions before concluding in Mitchell County with an arrest. According to initial reports, 50 year old Lamarcus Antoine Duson committed several criminal acts that included the theft of a Chevy Silverado in the area of Estalee Mercer Road, in Coffee County. Duson then traveled toward Albany Georgia where he carried out a robbery at a local store.
His criminal acts ended in Mitchell County where authorities located Duson inside a residence he had unlawfully entered. He was taken into custody without further incident. Duson is facing multiple charges including aggravated assault, armed robbery and motor vehicle theft.
The investigation remains active and additional charges may be forthcoming as agencies finalize their reports.
