Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce launches Adult Leadership Program

MOULTRIE, Ga. – Every community needs leaders and the Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber of Commerce is doing its part by launching its Adult Leadership Program.

“We’re really just trying to cultivate the leaders for Colquitt county and just bring out we already have great leaders but we want to just help them in furthering that,” said Caitlyn Hatcher, Moultrie-Colquitt County Chamber President.

Adult leaders selected into this program will have the opportunity to interact and learn from multiple organizations in Colquitt county.

“We have a day planned for recreation, to learn more about Colquitt County Rec, we have a day planned for our local government, Non-Profit day, an Ag Day, so we really try to hit those key pillars of Colquitt county,” said Hatcher.

So, how do you apply to this leadership program?

“They’ll have to fill out a whole application and questions about what they currently do, what their position are and they have to have full backing from their employer,” said Hatcher.

Backing from employers is important, because…

“It is one full day a month, with the exception of us going to Atlanta in February,” said Hatcher.

And, the process of picking applicants is a strict one as only 30 people can be chosen .

“A committee that comes together and actually selects them, so we take 30 applicants, we’ll take 30 people and it will just be an application process for the committee to go through,” said Hatcher.

All applications must be submitted by August 30th by 12:30 p.m.
