Moultrie Boys and Girls Club take a ‘Slumber Under the Sea’ at the Georgia Aquarium
New experiences open up more possibilities and aspirations for children.
MOULTRIE, Ga. – The Moultrie Boys and Girls Club capped off their summer by displaying their knowledge of marine life animals from multiple lesson plans to even sleeping inside the Georgia Aquarium.
“Each week we would explore the different types of animals under the ocean and have small activities for the kids to participate in,” said April Lee, Youth Developmental Professional at the Moultrie Boys and Girls Club.
But, no lesson plan could prepare these children for the surprise their teachers had in store for them.
“Every summer trip we always have one big trip for the kids, and it’s just something to expose them to some type of experience,” said Lateegra Fiveash, Program Director at the Moultrie Boys and Girls Club.

“I just want to tell you that the experience I had exceeded what we did today, it was just above and beyond,” said Delano Jefferson, Chaperone.
New experiences open up more possibilities and aspirations for children.
“Some of our kids never left out of Moultrie, some of them have never even left this town, so in the Boys and Girls Club what we do is expose the children to opportunities like that,” said Fiveash.
Which could inspire them to be…
“Animal doctors, we had a lot them interested in scuba diving, because they were able to see the behind the scenes with them,” said Lee.
