Mother arrested; amber alert canceled after two abducted children in Columbus found safe in south GA
COLUMBUS, Ga. – An amber alert issued for two children in Columbus, who were initially believed to be in grave danger, has resulted in their safe recovery.
The children, 11-year-old Kylie Horne and 4-year-old Kylann Harper, were reportedly abducted from the Burger King at 7301 Veterans Parkway around 11:52 a.m. Sunday.
They were initially believed to be in the custody of Mikaela Harrell, last seen driving a 2011 blue/gray Honda CRV SUV with a Georgia license plate #TGS7835.
On Monday just before noon, both children were successfully located in the south Georgia area and are now safe. Although the investigation is ongoing, potential charges may be pending for those involved in the abduction.
