We currently serve Randolph, Clay, and Quitman county as a regional system, one of the first regional systems in Georgia. We also currently serve Ben Hill county as well. So, adding to that regionalization of EMS services adds a lot more efficiencies. Adds a lot more broadband labor force to help supply those services. Just providing a better service for the citizens of Mitchell county,” said Larry Richardson, AmeriPro Health Chief Business Officer & Executive Vice President.

Chief Business Officer & Executive Vice President of AmeriPro Health, Larry Richardson, provides insight into the distinctions between EMS and 911 services in rural communities in comparison to urban settings.

“EMS in rural areas, in my opinion is a lot more challenging than urban areas. In urban areas, you have much larger of a labor force, you have shorter transport times. Georgia is really high on the list for rural hospital closures; which is some of the things we are trying to also, down the road, trying to fix as well. You got to be on your game and make sure you understand the right protocol and the right healthcare to make it work,” said Richardson.

Larry Richardson addresses the innovative strategies that AmeriPro Health is implementing to secure a prosperous future for EMS services in rural areas.

“One of the things that we have been able to do is collectively partner with government entities to make sure that we are able to leverage their resources as well as our resources to become a team, instead of just being a vendor. We also work with hospitals in the area. So, right now we currently are the preferred provider for Phoebe Hospital as well. So, we do a lot of their critical care transports, as well as some of their advanced life support transports. Together with the hospital, the government entity, and the private entity of us, we are able to elevate healthcare in rural setting a lot better than it has been in the past,” said Richardson.
