Mell Baptist Association to host Tent Revival on Sept. 19-21 at American Legion Fairgrounds in Tifton
TIFTON, Ga. – Knowing that God is the only place to turn for the troubles and problems we face in this world, the Mell Baptist Association is planning a Tent Revival September 19-21, 2025, 7 pm each night at the American Legion Fairgrounds (1360 US Hwy 82, East, Tifton). The Mell Evangelism/Missions Team was led by the Lord to plan this event and the Association decided to work together to see this event become a reality. There will be a combined choir from local churches, uplifting music, testimonies, Biblical preaching, and an opportunity to respond to the message. The tent will seat over a thousand! The featured preachers are Rev. Stacy Phillips, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, Tifton, who will be preaching Friday night; Rev. John Smith, pastor of First Batist Church, Ty Ty, who will be preaching Saturday night; and Rev. Tim Williams, evangelist from Carrolton, Georgia, who will be preaching Sunday night. We believe that God will touch many lives through the music and preaching of God’s Word and invite everyone to come join us.
The Mell Baptist Association is a partnership of twenty-seven churches and two mission churches in Tift, Berrien, and Cook Counties. We exist to encourage churches, strengthen churches, and partner with churches to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our priorities are to encourage churches toward health and unity, to strengthen churches to make disciples, and to partner with churches to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We voluntarily cooperate with one another and with other entities who have the same passion to reach people with the treasure of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
The Association has been planning this event for months and is conducting training for many volunteers who will be serving at the event. On September 9 at 7 pm at Brookfield Baptist Church (2454 Hwy 82 E, Brookfield) there will be a practice for the combined church choir who will sing at the Tent Revival. There has already been an evangelism/counselor training for those who will counsel those who respond to the Biblical messages preached each night. We will also have training on September 11 at Eastside Baptist Church (1490 Kennedy Road, Tifton) for volunteers who will help as greeters, parking attendants, security, and ushers. We will also have a Prayer Time at the tent at the fairgrounds on Thursday, September 18, at 7 pm. We believe that prayer is what will move God to be present in our services. A group of prayer warriors will also be praying during the services each night.
The public is invited and encouraged to participate in the Tent Revival. Our prayer is that God will change lives, save marriages, deliver from addictions, and revive our churches.
