Meet Miss Rodeo Georgia 2024 Calee Bell Duncan

NASHVILLE, Ga. – Get ready to saddle up for an exclusive look into the world of Miss Rodeo Georgia 2024, the trailblazing ambassador of pro rodeo!

From presenting the American flag to showcasing her skills in the arena, she’s a true embodiment of the western way of life.

CBS 44 had the privilege of speaking with Calee Bell Duncan, hailing from Franklin, Georgia, during the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Rodeo in Nashville.

“Miss Rodeo Georgia is the first lady of pro rodeo in the state of Georgia. So, there’s 30 plus states that have a program. So, there’s a Miss Rodeo, whatever their state is, there’s a Texas and an Utah and an Alabama. And, so, what we do is we go throughout our state and out of state. So, I’ve been out of state, too. And, we go to pro rodeos and sponsored events and just any event that wants us and that we’re invited to and we go and we promote the western way of life and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA),” said Calee Bell Duncan, Miss Rodeo Georgia 2024.

“And, so, I’ll go all year long and I’ll do those things like tonight here I will present the American flag. That’s what they’ve asked me to do. And, this is the horse I’ll be riding. These are my chaps. And, so, I’ll do that tonight,” said Duncan.

Here comes your flag of the United States of America…

“A lot of times when we get to rodeos, we get pointed at and say that’s your horse tonight and they tell us what we’re going to be doing and that’s all we get. So, I actually don’t know his name, but he’s a beautiful Buckskin Quarter Horse. He’s probably registered in the American Quarter Horse Association. And, so, what he is along with his friends here, they’re pickup horses and horses that are used to move cattle and that the cowboys will use during the rodeo,” said Duncan.

“So, I’m not competing tonight. I’m here as Miss Rodeo Georgia, but, when I go to rodeos and I’m not Miss Rodeo Georgia, I go to compete because I also run barrels and breakaway rope myself. And, so, I have horses and I, I do this every day. It’s been my life my entire life, really. I haven’t really done anything else. And, so, I also compete, too. So, it really is the best of both worlds because a lot of girls are either a Rodeo Queen, or they compete. They’re not really both. So, I get to be both and it is really wonderful,” said Duncan.

In December, Calee will compete for the title of Miss Rodeo America in Las Vegas, participating in an eight-day pageant held during the National Finals Rodeo. Best of luck!
