Manhunt ends, both escaped inmates in custody; $1K reward offered for information

MOULTRIE, Ga. – According to a post on the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) Facebook page, both of the two escaped inmates who reportedly escaped from the Colquitt County Jail have been taken into custody.

Two inmates reportedly escaped from the jail as of this morning.

The escaped inmates were believed not to be in the immediate area of the jail. However, out of an abundance of caution, the community was asked to remain alert.

The sheriff’s office reported that while it is unknown if either of the escaped inmates were armed, but were considered to be dangerous.

As of 4:54 p.m., Karon Caldwell has been taken into custody.

As of 4:11 p.m., Alan Kennedy has been taken into custody.

Black male, 30 years old

Approximately 6’0″, 180 pounds

• Alan Kennedy

Black male, 39 years old

Approximately 6’1″, 160 pounds
