Manhunt ends, Berrien Co. Sheriff’s Office arrest escaped inmate

BERRIEN Co., Ga. – Thursday night around 11 p.m., members of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, Nashville P.D., Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) K9, and Georgia State Patrol (GSP apprehended Emory “Star” Gibson in a shop behind a residents house on River Road in Tygart Park.

Sheriff Ray Paulk would like to thank everyone for answering the call for assistance.

Also, Sheriff Paulk would like to thank our 911 center and the citizens in this area for all their cooperation which largely led to this capture by alerting 911 when they found Gibson in another outside building which is where he obtained the clothing he was wearing.
